From physiotherapist and Army Officer to the bottom of the earth.
Preet Chandi MBE didn’t grow up dreaming of the poles. She built her way there — and she’s spent every expedition since proving that barriers are meant to be broken.
An ordinary start. An extraordinary direction.
A British Army Officer and physiotherapist, Preet took on some of the most hostile terrain on the planet — largely self-funded, often told it couldn’t be done.
She became the first woman of colour to complete a solo expedition in Antarctica, and has since set four Guinness World Records across three solo expeditions on the continent.
She was appointed MBE for services to exploration, has been featured by the BBC, BBC Newsround, The Times and Guinness World Records, met the Princess of Wales in February 2023, and received the DARPAN International Sensation Award in 2025.
